2011 Equitation Show Explanation & Age groups
Tie downs well be allowed in all classes but let it be known,, in equitation and pleasure classes horses not using a tie down and performing properly well be placed over those using tie downs.
Lead Line 7 and Under : Lead lines, can go in the following classes. 1,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,(No one under 18 will be allowed to handle a stallion NO exceptions !!! ),
Youth w/t 12 and under: Youths can go in the following classes 1, 4, 5, 6,7,8,9,10,11, 15,19, 20.26.28.30.36.40. (No one under 18 will be allowed to handle a stallion NO exceptions !!! ), To go in Open Equitation w/t ,Members only, and Open pleasure w/t ,Members only, you must be a paid member before the show starts.
Jr. w/t/c 13 to 17: Jr.'s can go in the following classes 2, 4, 5, 6 , 7, 8, 9,10.11, 16,19, 21,23,24,25,26 OR 27( not both w/t/c rules apply ) 28,29,30,32,34,35,38,42 (No one under 18 will be allowed to handle a stallion NO exceptions !!! ) To go in Open Equitation w/t ,Members only, and Open pleasure w/t ,Members only, you must be a paid member before the show starts. .
Sr. w/t/c 18 and over: Sr.riders can go in the following classes. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10,11,17, 19, 22, 24,25,27, 28,30,35,39,43. To go in Open Equitation w/t ,Members only, and Open pleasure w/t ,Members only, you must be a paid member before the show starts.
Sr, w/t 18 and over and OR Green horse riders/handlers: Sr. w/t riders may enter the following classes , 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10,11,17,18,19,22,23,24,25,26 OR 28,30,31,33,34,35,37, or 39 ,41 OR 42. To go in Open Equitation w/t ,Members only, and Open pleasure w/t ,Members only, you must be a paid member before the show starts.
MBHPC 2008 Equitation Show Class explanations If your showing a APHA please bring a copy of their papers with you for our records ... Only APHA paints can enter paint classes .
1. Showmanship Youth... will be judged on riders ability to show the animal , cleanliness ,over all appearance of both handler and horse/pony.
2. Showmanship Jr. ... Same as Class 1
3. Showmanship Sr. ...Same as Class 1
4.Halter Mares.. Will be judged conformation and cleanliness and way of going, will be shown at w/t as judge request
5.Halter Stallions and Geldings.. Same as Class 4. 6. Open Colts and Fillies ( weanlings/ yearlings) Same as Class 4.
7. Open Colts and Fillies ( 2 and 3 year olds ) Same as Class 4.
8. Halter Paints Same as Class 4.
9. Most Colorful Horse.... Same as Class 4
10. Halter Ponies Open Same as Class 4
11. In Hand Trail Class (Horses / ponies 2 yrs. and under) , will be judged on how will horse/pony and handler maneuvers a number of obstacles
12. Lead Line Equitation (6 and Under) will be judged on riders equitation ability
13. Lead Line Game ( Single Pole )
14. Lead Line Game ( rescue Ralph ) A timed event
15. Open Equitation Youth.. Judged on riders equitation ability , and how will horse and rider work as a team.
16. English Equitation Jr... Judged on riders equitation ability , and how will horse and rider work together
17. English Equitation Sr.Judged on riders equitation ability , and how well horse and rider work together.
18. Open Equitation W/t Adult and green horse same as 17
19. Open Equitation w/t Members only same as 17
20. Open Pleasure Youth Judged on horses manners , way of going how will horse and rider work together
21. Eng. Pleasure Jr. Judged on horses manners , way of going how will horse and rider work together
22. Eng. Pleasure Sr. Judged on horses manners , way of going how will horse and rider work together
23.English Pleasure Open Paint ( reg. paints only )
24. Open Driving Horse
25. Open Driving Pony
26. Open trail class w/t ( can not have been in ANY w/t/c classes ) . will be judged on how will horse/pony and rider maneuvers a number of obstacles
27. Open Trail Class w/t/c ( can not have ridden in w/t classes ) . will be judged on how will horse/pony and rider maneuvers a number of obstacles
28. Costume Class Open Judged Costume, and manners
29.Western Equitation Jr. Judged on riders equitation ability , and how will horse and rider work together
30. Open pleasure w/t members only Judged on horses manners , way of going how will horse and rider work together
31. Western Equitation Sr. same as class 26
32. Western Pleasure Jr. Judged on horses manners , way of going how will horse and rider work together
33. Western Pleasure Sr. Judged on horses manners , way of going how well horse and rider work together

36. to 43 are games all games are timed events and will be explained at each show . If a barrel, Pole or cone is knocked over there WELL be a 5 second penalty NO exceptions !!!!
